PORTLAND, MAINE: JHA is pleased to announce the 15th
anniversary of their Dynamics of Disability Seminar. Their program has been

The leading national conference for the disability insurance industry, Dynamics
of Disability is scheduled for March 4-6, 2008 at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort
& Spa, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Attendees include disability insurance
underwriters, actuaries, claim professionals, marketing and sales
professionals, researchers, analysts, producers and other disability industry
professionals. Also, for the first time in the seminar’s history JHA is
offering additional workshops with a group life focus.
This year’s agenda features Mansel Aylward, Director of the Unum Centre for
Psychosocial & Disability Research at Cardiff University in Wales, who will
deliver a general session on “The Power of Belief – Psychosocial Influences on
Illness, Disability and Rehabilitation”, and Greg Ness, Senior Vice President,
Insurance Services Group, The Standard, who will deliver a general session
titled “Placing Our Bets”. In addition, Stacy Varney, Vice President Marketing
& Business Development, JHA will lead a panel discussion on “Disability
Insurance Awareness Month – What Worked and Why”.
Over two dozen workshop sessions are being offered, covering underwriting,
actuarial, claim management, product development, marketing, distribution, and
more. Speakers include experts from group and individual disability insurers,
brokerage firms, consulting companies, and other prominent experts.
